“Jungle pods emerge from Costa Rica’s landscape and float over the mountains”

Suitree Experience Hotel by Architizer

We are thrilled to announce that the Suitree Experience Hotel, designed by Studio Saxe, luxury architects in Costa Rica, has been recognized by Architizer for its innovative approach to green architecture. Nestled in the lush terrain of Sardinal de Carrillo, Costa Rica, this project represents a significant advancement in integrating ecological principles with architectural design.

The Suitree Experience Hotel, conceptualized with a focus on sustainability, features tree-inspired pods that gracefully float above the landscape, allowing for an uninterrupted flow of nature around its structures. By employing a ‘floating architecture’ design philosophy, Studio Saxe has ensured that the hotel enhances, rather than disrupts, the existing ecosystem.

Each pod is meticulously designed to be self-sufficient in water harvesting, contributing to an extensive sustainable water management system, which highlights Studio Saxe’s dedication as leading Costa Rica architects in sustainable development. The use of off-site prefabrication techniques also minimized the environmental impact during construction, preserving the natural beauty of the area and maintaining structural integrity.
